Benjamin Lawrence Schroeder peacefully passed into the presence of His Lord and Saviour on March 10, 2005 in his 87th year. He was born on April 19, 1918 in Inman, Kansas.

Benjamin will be deeply missed by his loving wife Ann, son Mel Schroeder and his wife Eleanor, daughter Irene Regier and her husband Dave, and son Bob Schroeder and his wife Janet. He will also be missed by six grandchildren Leon (Tracey) Schroeder, Lori (Steve) Pratt, Shelly (Vinnie) Parray, Michael (Christine) Regier, Lisa (Rob) Vinnette, and Leanne (Glenn) Marchant, six great-grandchildren Talon, Neve, Leeds,Kruz, Jayna, and Callie, and loving brother Ed (Elsie) Schroeder and sister Viola (Bob) Gliege.

Benjamin loved farming. He meticulously took care of his farming implements and vehicles. He loved his family; they were the most important part of his life. Benjamin farmed his entire life, even after retiring, he could always be seen helping others.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16 from 10:00 — 10:45 am at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road (at Sumas Way), Abbotsford. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am at Maclure Road Cemetery followed by a Service of Remembrance at 1:30 pm at South Abbotsford Church, 32424 Huntington Road, Abbotsford. Donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee in memory of Ben.
