Benjamin (Ben) Howard, born April 11, 1921, passed away after a lengthy illness on Sept. 20, 2004.
Ben was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He was born in Sask. and moved to BC in 1948 where he started working for the CP Railroad. He worked an lived in North Bend for several years before moving to Vancouver where he worked until he retired in 1985. Ben served in the armed forces and went overseas as a member of the Hope Royal Canadian Legion Branch #228, for 52 years.
After retiring Lily and Ben moved to Abbotsford and lived in Alameda Court where they enjoyed many years.
Ben was predeceased by his son Robert (Margaret); 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Left to mourn are his loving wife of 62 years Lily; daughter Sharon Spencer; granddaughters Danine Hahn, Leanne (Randy) Kozak; grandson James (Teresa) Kozak and great grandchildren Jesseca ad Alysia Hahn, William and Leksandr Kozak; also sister Marie Fithen; brothers Walter (Gladys), William (Liz), Herbert (Darlene), Charles (Faye) and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no service by request. Cremations arrangements entrusted to Wiebe & Jeske Funeral Directors
