GARDIN, Barbara Ann. 1919 - 2011
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 22nd, surrounded by her family. She was a tireless advocate for those less fortunate. Barb worked as a nurse for over 40 years, a career that took her to Montreal and Colorado before settling in Alberta and finally B.C. She always challenged people to be their best, and her enthusiasm and zest for life will be missed by all who knew her. She was the matriarch, the support system, and the 'go to' person for her family and friends. She volunteered for the Mission Community Services, The Transition House, the food bank, birthright and the Cancer Society. Prayer will be offered at St. Joseph's Catholic Parish, 32550 7 Avenue, Mission, BC on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Parish on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to your chosen charity would be appreciated.
