On April 4, 2003, Arthur "Bud" Rippin, formerly of Widewater, Alberta, passed away peacefully in his sleep in the presence of his loved ones at Abbotsford, B.C. at the age of 90.
Born October 21, 1912, Bud was the fifth of six children born to Sarah and Arthur Rippin in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. He is survived by Helen, his loving wife of 64 years; sons Blair (Grace) and Fred (Carol); four grandchildren; Karla, Roderick, Lori and Randy; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Christine Rippin and Helen Farrell and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his parents and siblings; Olive (Chester) Johnson, Della (Ed) Poff, Gladys (Howard) Logan, Jim Rippin and Norman Rippin.
Special thanks to the staff of Maplewood House for the care and kindness given to Bud over the past several months.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2003 at Henderson's Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice.
