It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Arthur (Art) Friesen on March 5, 2020 at the age of 88. He died peacefully in his sleep.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Herta, his children Victor and Rosemarie, daughter/son in-laws Cathie and Jim, grandson and wife Ryan and Chantal. He is pre-deceased by son Waldemar.
He also leaves behind sisters in law Hilma Weber and Annie Schroeder and many nieces and nephews and their children.
Art lived a full, active, well travelled life and was happiest when in the bush with a chainsaw in hand. Many memories were created with him at Mahood Lake, where he retired after having opened and operated Montalco Kitchen Cabinets for many Years. He enjoyed woodworking, snowmobiling and atv’ing along with visiting with friends and family at the Lake.
The family is very very thankful for the wonderful care he received from the staff at both Carefree Manor and Fisher Place.
Funeral Service to be held on Friday, March 13th at 12:00 noon: Creekside Seniors Centre, 501 Cedar Avenue, 100 Mile House, BC. Light refreshments will be provided.
Preceding the service, will be laid to rest at 100 Mile House cementery at 11:00 am.
