Art KASDORF

October 29, 2006

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing on Sunday, October 29, 2006 of Art Kasdorf from a tragic accident. He was born in Rosemary, Alberta on April 14, 1942. Art leaves behind his wife of 43 years Eleanor, son Vern, daughter Denise and husband Greg Baier; grandchildren Kale and Kennedy Kasdorf and Cody, Cassidy and Cylie Baier. Also survived by daughter-in-law Cheryl, sisters Mary (Dave) Isaak, Elsie (Calvin) Neetz and Adina (Ervin) Bergmann, two brothers-in-law Ed and Phil Enns, one sister-in-law Lil (Chris) Bartel and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of wonderful friends. Art loved farming and was involved in poultry farming for over 30 years. He also served on several federal and provincial agriculture boards, the MEI board, and recently served as chairman of the Cebu Children's Shelter in the Philippines. Art touched so many lives throughout his years and his huge smile and infectious laughter will be remembered  by everyone he came in contact with. The legacy he leaves us is a strong faith in God. He had a servant's heart and led a life of love, strength and encouragement to others.  He loved his family with all his heart and his grandchildren were his special joy. We will dearly miss our husband, father, grandfather.
