Arnold Anton Sarauer peacefully passed away on March 13, 2020 at 1:20 am in the presence of his family at the age of 88. He was born in Saskatchewan to John and Catherine Sarauer. Arnold is survived by his wife Irene, brother Wilfred (Evelyn), children; Randy, Myrena (Guy), Roxanne (David), Wayne (Barbara), grandchildren; Shane (Dawna), Jessica, Crystal (Jonathan), Michael, Ashleigh, John, Colin, Catherine, Sarah, Mary, great grandchildren; Darien, Solace, Juniper and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews
Arnold and Irene married on August 1, 1956 in Muenster, Saskatchewan. They lived in St. Gregor and Davidson, Saskatchewan before they moved the family to Abbotsford, BC in 1972 where Arnold worked as a mechanic until he retired. Arnold really enjoyed playing accordion, hunting, curling, reading and mostly visiting with friends and family. He was very involved with the Kiwanis and the St. Ann's Knights of Columbus where he also served a term as Grand Knight.
His sense of humour, willingness to help, and big smile will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral mass will be Thursday, March 19, 2020 @ 9:30 am at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 33333 Mayfair Ave., Abbotsford, BC. Prayers and viewing will be Wednesday March 18 at 7:45 pm at St. Ann's.
