Arden B.C., born in Steinbach, Manitoba, June 25, 1928 went to be with his Lord, on November 8, 2005 at Menno Hospital in Abbotsford, BC. He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Eva, loved by his children Carol (Brian) Gerty, Faye (Ben) Wall, Dianne (Gerry) Dionne, Lenore (Dave) Howie, Doug (Marie), Stan (Sarah), Marilyn (Gilbert) Hooge, Al (Sheila); 21 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, as well as two brothers, three sisters and numerous other family members. He was predeceased by his first wife Rosalind, in February 1982. He started his teaching career at the early age of 17 in Manitoba and completed normal school, teachers training, in 1949. He moved his family to Langley, BC in 1953, and Abbotsford in 1958. He received his Bachelor of Education degree in 1967. Arden taught at schools in Langley, Mission, Abbotsford and Surrey until 1984. He served as a missionary with Gospel Missionary Union (AVANT) in Bolivia from 1985-1988.
Much thanks to Eva who spent many hours caring for Dad and to the staff at the Menno Hospital.
He will be remembered by his family and friends as a faithful, fun loving, responsible, godly man at a Memorial Service, Saturday, November 19, 2005 at 1:00 pm in Grace Church, 2087 McMillan Road, Abbotsford, B.C. In honour, donations may be made to AVANT (Gospel Missionary Union).
