Anthony Albert “Tony” passed away Wednesday April 12, 2006 at Eagle Ridge Hospital in his 88th year. Predeceased by his wife Anna Rose in 1992. Anthony is lovingly remembered and survived by his 10 children: Ernie Barbondy (Cecile), Mary Higginbottom (Bill), Bertha Bird (Ed), Irene Wise (Dave), Vera Toews, Angie Barbondy (Jim), Jim Barbondy (Jackie), Dorothy Wiltshire (Robin), Tony Barbondy (Juanita), Susan Blackett (Bill); 21 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Steve and many Ânieces and nephews. He was a member of both the Royal Canadian Legion and Fraternal Order of Eagles. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am -10:00 am on Thursday, April 20 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 33333 Mayfair Ave., Abbotsford, BC followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Musselwhite Cemetery, Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Association or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
