BRUNSKILL - Annette Veronica

Born July 17, 1923 near Wallard, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully in her home in Abbotsford on January 31, 2009. She was predeceased by her husband Leo in 1988. She is survived by her three children - John (Frances), Rick and Carol as well as five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Annette was raised near Ponteix with seven sisters and two brothers until the family moved to Watson in 1937. After working in Regina and then overcoming tuberculosis, she travelled to Europe with her sister Rita. They settled in England. There she met Leo and they married in 1953. John and Rick were born in Bexley-Heath before the family emigrated to Estevan, Saskatchewan in 1957. In 1959, they relocated to Regina, where Carol was born in 1968. Leo retired in 1978 and they moved to Abbotsford, BC.

Annette attended Sevenoaks Alliance Church for 30 years. She was a caring and giving person with a strong Christian faith. She was a gifted artist who throughout her life created many beautiful paintings. She also had a talent for various crafts, such as making greeting cards, bookmarks and dolls.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday February 6, 2009 at Seven Oaks Alliance Church, 2575 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford. A reception will be held at the church immediately following the ceremony. A private interment will take place at Hazelwood Cemetery.
