AnneMarie Paula Wandfluh (nee Lee)

Anne was born on October 1, 1938 in Bulach, Switzerland. She was the eldest of six children, raised by her parents Rosa and Hans Lee in Glattfelden, Switzerland. When Anne was 18, Rosa and Hans moved the family to Canada. Anne and siblings Trudi, Susie, Hans, Margrit and Rolf arrived in Vancouver on November 2, 1956. In 1957 Anne met Edward Theodore Wandfluh and their short courtship began. On March 1, 1958 Anne married the love of her life. Ted and Anne raised their family on their Sumas Prairie farm. They had 4 children, Shirley (Nick), Belinda (John), Ted Jr. (Kari) and Diane (Doug). Anne and Ted lived on the farm until they retired in 1996, then moved to Gladwin Towers in Abbotsford. In retirement Anne loved to travel with Ted in their RV, spending time touring Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. Anne loved spending time with her large family, and playing cards was a favorite pass time. She was blessed with grandchildren Blaire, Vince, Randal, Mitch, Carmen, Jolene, Colin, Taylor, Sydney, Tori, Dustin and Cody as well as 10 beautiful great grandchildren. Anne was pre-deceased by her parents, Rosa and Hans, her sister Susie, grandson Randal and great grandchildren Ava and Austin. Special thanks to Dr. Scamen, Dr. Galbraith and the staff at the B.C. Cancer Agency. A Memorial Service will be held at The Rancho in Abbotsford on August 3, 2017 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the ALS Society of B.C.
