Anne (Annigje) Woudstra

Our mother and Beppe passed gently into the arms of her Lord on the afternoon of Friday, November 3, in her 91st year.

Mom was born to a farm family in Friesland and came of age during the Second World War. After losing her own mother she cared for her younger siblings, as they looked after each other. Together the family supported 10 familial refugees from the cities. Post war Canada welcomed thousands of immigrants from Europe and thus, two weeks after her wedding to our father, they were on a ship to Montreal, eventually setttling down in Clayburn, and later in Mt. Lehman, where they raised their two children.

Mom was active with the Women's Institutes of Clayburn and Peardonville and volunteerd at the Bibles for Missions Thrift store for many years. As an early member of Bethel Reformed Church, she was involved with Church activities in her younger years.

In later years she followed her heart and travelled to places that she had always dreamed of seeing, and had many grand adventures.

She will be missed by her family for her love, life lessons, skills and the strength to "keep going". "

Yes, Mom, I CAN do anything I put my mind to, and, I promise, I'll start with the dishes."

Memorial arrangements are being delayed until Mother's Day.
