Anne Goertzen, aged 77 years, died June 9, 2003 at MSA Hospital in Abbotsford, B.C. suddenly from heart failure, although she had struggled with health problems for many years.
She was enjoying her family and friends in her retirement, as well as her many interests, especially her crocheting. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all for her courage and determination, as well as for her caring and generosity.
Anne is survived by her husband of 38 years, until 1995, Frank Goertzen of Salmo, B.C.; 4 children, Leonard Goertzen and his wife Barb of White Rock, B.C., Lorraine Genereux and husband Ernest of Surrey, B.C., Rita Goertzen and partner Jude of Montreal, Quebec, Jennifer Romaine and husband Bill of Visalia, California; 3 sisters, Tina Hiebert of Altona, Manitoba, twin sister Elizabeth of Flum Coulee, Manitoba, Helen Loewen of Calgary, Alberta; 7 grandchildren, Spencer, Romaine, Dylan and Sadie Goertzen, Kevin Genereux, Teresa Wilgosh, Rheal and Belinda Meilleur; 2 great grandchildren, Elysha and Jeffrey Wilgosh, and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2003 in Calvin Presbyterian Church, 2597 Bourquin Crescent East, Abbotsford, B.C. with a Commmital Service to follow in Hazelwood Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Church.
