WERNER, Anna
June 17, 1921 - April 22, 2008
The family of Anna Werner, nee Brenner, sadly announces her passing on April 22, 2008 at 86 years of age at Buchanan Lodge in New Westminster, B.C.
Anna is predeceased by her parents, Josef and Magdalena Brenner, her husband Josef, and sister Elizabeth Pauli. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Ilse (Gary), son Tony (Lisa), grandchildren Christopher (Melannie), Carolyn (Chris), and Kevin, great-grandchildren Austin and Briella. She is also survived by her sister Maria Geisler and nephews in Germany. The family would like to thank the staff of Buchanan Lodge for their compassionate care and support while she was a resident.
Anna was born in Brestovacs (Yugolslavia) June 17, 1921 where she lived with her parents until she met and married Josef George Werner in 1938 and then moved to Austria until 1956 when she and her husband immigrated to Canada to join her husband's parents George and Maria Werner in Abbotsford (Yarrow). After living and working on the family hobby farm until 1994 she moved to Trafalgar Street in Abbotsford and then spent the last four years at Buchanan Lodge, New Westminster.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 11:00 am at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 33333 Mayfair Avenue, Abbotsford.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Buchanan Lodge, c/o Salvation Army may be made in Anna's memory.
