It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Anna Kessenich, of Campbell River on February 5, 2023, just shy of her 97th birthday. Anna was born in Nieder-Chortitza, Ukraine on April 1, 1926.
She immigrated to Canada in 1949. Mom was a devoted wife and mother, a wonderful cook, who enjoyed the company of family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband, Karl (2018) and her son, Roy (2016) and survived by her children, Doris Martin and Matthew Gunkel; grandchildren, Larissa Gunkel, Jennifer Richardson (Jason) and great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Kailey Richardson. She will be dearly missed by all and will forever be in our hearts.
A service will be held on March 10th at 1:30 pm at Peace Lutheran Church, 2029 Ware Street, Abbotsford.
