In Memory of Anna Bown (nee Stanczyk)
February 19, 1940 - October 1, 2017
With great sadness, the Bown & Stanczyk Families would like to announce the passing of Anastasia Bown (Stanczyk).
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Tom Bown, her three children Lawrence, Vanessa (Dave), Katrina (Ray), and one grandchild Anastasia.
Anna was born in Mission on February 19, 1940 and grew up in Hatzic Valley. She was the oldest of John and Nellie Stanczyk's seven children and is survived by Lawrence (Irene), Edward, Felixa (Dave), Melvina (Lewis), Irene, and Gordon (Judy).
She will also be sadly missed by brother-in-law, Robert (Robin) along with her 10 nieces and nephews.
Anna had a career as a dental hygienist, spent mostly in High River, Alberta. She lived in Victoria, BC for the first portion of retirement. For the past five years, Tom and Anna have lived at Lake Chapala in Mexico.
She passed on October 1st after enjoying a Sunday dinner with her husband, son, and friends in Chapala.
A celebration of Anna's life will be held on October 29th at 2:00 pm at Hatzic Prairie Hall at 10845 Farms Road, Mission, open to all that were blessed to have known her.
