It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend, Andrea Judith Williams, at the age of 63 in Abbotsford, BC, after a short but brave battle with cancer.
Andrea will be lovingly remembered by her devoted partner, John Pohle, loving sons, Nicholas (Soo), Travis (Brittany) and Russell, stepsons Dylan and Stephan, grandchildren Jenna, Leeyo, Maximus, Noah and Jett, siblings Marnee and Russell (Luttie), nieces Kylee and Kiawna, and nephews Christopher and Tanner. Andrea was predeceased by her parents Jack and Marnee-Jill Williams, brother Christopher, stepson Ryan Pohle, and her beloved son, Dustin Wester.
Andrea was born in Prince Rupert, BC. As the eldest of four siblings, she learned at a young age to take care of others. Family was everything to Andrea.
She loved with all her might, especially her sons and grandchildren who brought her so much joy. She said having children was the greatest gift.
Andrea was devoted to her career caring for the elderly and was known for her immeasurable giving heart and great compassion. She cared fiercely for all her residents and advocated for those without a voice.
Andrea was known to stay after a shift or on a day off to hold the hands of residents that were leaving this world as she wanted them to know they were not alone. She was always there for anyone in need, even strangers. She judged no one and loved everyone.
Andrea loved to laugh wholeheartedly, sing and dance. She loved long drives and having deep conversations with anyone and everyone. Andrea was an honest person who called things how she saw them, but never forced anyone to share her beliefs.
Andrea loved to garden and saw beauty in every part of nature. She had a unique way of looking at the world with love for all, mostly her family.
Andrea was a spiritual person who loved God and was never afraid of departing from this world as she knew she would be in heaven and reunited with her son Dustin, brother Christopher, mother and father, and many other loved ones that went before her.
Rest in peace beautiful Andrea. We know you're our angel now and will be watching over us. Until we meet again.
