Sep 4, 1935 - Feb 20, 2018
Amalie was born in the USSR in 1935 to Bernard & Maria Wiebe, sisters Olga & Annemarie & brother Bernard.

She moved to Germany with the family in 1943. At the end of WW2 the family moved to Burdette, Alberta and later settled in Coaldale, Alberta.

In the mid 50s she went to Calgary where she was educated as a Practical Nurse, an occupation she always loved.

In the 60s, she lived in East Vancouver until moving to Prince George in 1976. There she appreciated her time working with the elderly at the Simon Fraser Lodge. In 1988 she moved to Campbell River where she enjoyed her long walks along the Oyster River and Miracle Beach. Moving back to Abbotsford in 2011 she re-connected with family and old friends.

Amalie was a sweet soul who was kind, loving, thoughtful and always positive.

She will be missed by her husband (Ernie), two sons, Dave (Sandra) and Ken (Jacqui) and her 3 grandchildren Ben, Emily and Ashley. She also had a special place in her heart for her younger sister Annmarie and her husband Ken.

We would like to thank the staff at The Oxford Senior Care Home whom all showed never ending compassion, love and support over the last 4-1/2 months. There is no formal service as per Amalie's wishes.

I am the sun, bringing you light, I am the star, shining so bright. Don't cry for me.

We encourage everyone to support cancer research.
