ALLISTER (AL) MUIR

October 7, 2003

Born in Glasgow, Scotland on Sept. 28, 1932 and passed away peacefully on October 7th, 2003 at Mission Memorial Hospital, after a short battle with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease at the age of 71 years.

Allister will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Margaret and his children, son Bryan (Joanne) Muir of Delta, B.C. and daughters Denise (Phil) Clough and Lisa (Bill) Bouthot of Kamloops, B.C.

He is also survived by his seven grandchildren; Kimberley, Breanne, Danielle, Stephan, Courtney, Emily and Jenna.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Allister was well known and respected in various business communities around B.C. during his very successful 33 year career with the Royal Bank. He retired to Mission B.C. 15 years ago and has volunteered at the Mission Archives and been a volunteer driver for the Cancer Society for many years. He was an active bird watcher all his life and a member of the Natural History Society.

A celebration of his life will take place on Friday, October 10, 2003 at 3 p.m. at Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home at 7386 Horne Street, Mission, B.C. with Major Angus Haggerty officiating.

If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease research or the charity of your choice in his memory.
