IRWIN; Allan Lancelot
November 14, 1933 - December 14, 2015
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Dad, Allan Lancelot Irwin, who passed away peacefully with his loving daughter Kendra by his side. Dad was born and raised in Alberta and this is where he met the "love of his life" Helen Anna (Ziegler). Mom was a spinster of 17 and Dad a bachelor of 18 when they were married and began their journey of 57 years together. Dad joined the Canadian Armed Forces PPCLI at 18 and served 25 years, including peacekeeping in Korea and Cypress. He was predeceased by his loving wife Helen and his sister Ardell (Hawkes). He is survived by his children Kendra (Lyle), Kenneth (Diana), Kevin (Megan), Gail (Gordon), his grandchildren Patrick (Debi), Linda (Dale), Samantha, Jasmine (Nik), Darcy, Nicholas, Mikayla, his great grandchildren Miranda, Hayley, Jack, Kyrha and his brother Barrie (Lorraine) of Calgary. Thank you to the nurses and doctors of Abbotsford hospital that cared for Dad and to the staff of the Mayfair residence and special thanks to Veronica of Henderson's Funeral Home.
