Alice Jansen passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord on July 20, 2006 at her home. She was born on March 23, 1921 in Alderson, Alberta. Alice is lovingly remembered by her sisters Dena Dykshoorn, Marie Jansen, Gertrude (John) DeJong, and her brothers Henry (Gennie), Pat, John (Marie), Leonard (Jackie), Tony (Henrietta) and Herman (Leida). She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2006 from 2-4 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 24, 2006 at 10:00 am at Hazelwood Âcemetery, followÂed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at Gateway Community Church, 2884 Gladys Avenue (Abbotsford Mission Hwy).
Special thanks to the nursing staff and caregivers from Fraser Valley Health for their love and care shown to Alice. Flowers gratefully declined and donations can be made to a charity of choice in memory of Alice.
