Passed peacefully away in Abbotsford BC on December 30, 2017 aged 90 years.
Alice was born in Bolsward, (FR) Netherlands on March 3, 1927 to Hendrik and Sjoerdje (Visser) deBoer. She became a Canadian war bride on January 2, 1946 marrying our father, Frank Walters.
She was predeceased by children, infant Susan Marjorie (1953), Gerald (1977) and her second husband, George Crewe (1997).
She is survived by 6 children scattered across Canada, Jim (Coral), Hendrik (MeYoung), Susan Myrna, Shelley, Keith and her special adopted son, Rodney.
She leaves 7 grandchildren, Stephanie, Adam, Matthew, Frank, Alicia, Amanda and Natalie and 8 great grandchildren, who have all received beautiful items of her handiwork.
Her family thanks the incredibly caring staff at Menno Home. Alice lived a long and challenging life accomplishing many firsts for a woman of her generation.
Her ashes will be scattered in Abbotsford where she resided for the last 20 years.
