Alfred Rempel

August 12, 1930 ~ February 22, 2017


Alfred Rempel passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Saviour early in the morning on February 22, 2017. We are comforted in knowing that he is free from suffering with Parkinson’s and is now in the presence of the Lord. He was predeceased by his wife Jean and brothers John and Bill. He will be deeply missed by his dear wife Shirley, sister Evelyn (Jim), twin brother Art, daughters Valerie (Don) and Carolyn (Hank), grandchildren: Christy (Ralph), Melissa (Colin), Naomi (Russell), Matt (Rochelle), Dave (Megan), Tim (Amber), Hannah (David), Daniel and six great grandchildren: Genevieve, Caleb, Dominic, Zachary, Kassidy and Cooper. He and his twin brother Art were born in Edam, Saskatchewan. They were the youngest of the five children born to Jacob and Agatha Rempel. Most of his career was spent in Calgary, AB working for Rempel Trail Transportation. For the last thirteen years he lived in Abbotsford, BC. Family was very important to him. He loved each and every family member deeply. We wish to thank all the wonderful caregivers at Tabor Home who took such excellent care of him during the past three years that he lived there. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Heritage Alliance Church, 3440 Mount Lehman Road, Abbotsford, BC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Global Advance Fund of the Christian and Missionary Alliance www.cmacan.org.
