Passed away peacefully at MSA Hospital Abbotsford on March 4, 2005 at the age of 88 years. The family would like to express their thanks to the hospital staff for the great care he received. He will be lovingly remembered by his nephews Gary Rowland, Brent Rowland, niece Sherry Long & their spouses. Also his surrogate family the Mack’s from Washington, his dear friends & neighbours Doug Walker & wife and the many people who benefited from his good nature and generosity. Alf grew up in Vancouver and for most of his working life became very much a part of the downtown scene as a cab driver. We heard lots of wonderful stories of the night life at the clubs & of the entertainers he got to know. Alf had magic fingers on the keyboard of a piano and loved to entertain us. He played by ear and could quickly pick up any song. His later years were spent in Abbotsford which became very much his home, and there will be one less member of Lunch with the Bunch Group.
