Alfred was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and passed away suddenly in MSA Hospital, Abbotsford, B.C. on March 18, 2006 at the age of 82 years. Alfred served in the Royal Air Force throughout WW II in a variety of countries that included India and Egypt. He emigrated to Canada in 1953 and secured employment with A.V. Roe (Canada) Ltd. working on the legendary Arrow. Later, he had a lengthy career in radar research as a Federal Public Servant (Ottawa). His sister, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends mourn his loss. A memorial service will be held at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Abbotsford, on May 27th at ll:00 a.m.. Interment will be at Hazelwood Cemetery.
