Big Al passed away at 73 years old on December 8, 2018 at Royal Columbian Hospital with his family by his side.

Al was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on February 1, 1945. He grew up on a farm in the Interlake area of Manitoba.

Survived by his wife Wanda, son Kevin (Erin), grandchildren Kassandra, Matt (Taylor), great granddaughter Chloe, sisters: Alice Felbel and Elaine Nodwell and brother Art (Helen), brothers-in-law: Brian Wolitski, Ken (Joy) Nachtigall, also nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Al was predeceased by his parents Edith and Albert, sister Margaret (Eddie) Luhowy, brother Karl (Martha) and sister Joanne Wolitski.

Al liked to talk to everyone he met and made many friends and acquaintances along the way. He liked to tell jokes and get people laughing. Having coffee or a meal with buddies and getting into debates were some of his favourite things. Going deep sea fishing with his pal Larry was at the top of the list too.

Al was an owner/operator trucker hauling cars for many years. A business he liked a lot and was successful at. He also did all repairs on his Mack truck and even designed and built a sleeper for one of them.

Al's biggest passion was the business he built from scratch (Top Line Supplies) selling truck and auto accessories. He was a very hard worker and took great pride interacting with his customers.

A burial will be held at Mt. Lehman Cemetery in Abbotsford on Monday, December 17 at 9:30 am. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 am at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford.
