BOHR. Alfred. Rev. Alfred Bohr of Abbotsford, BC went to be with the Lord on August 14, 2011 at the age of 77. His life was characterized by a quiet strength and steadfast manner that were an inspiration to those who knew him, even during his almost 5 year battle with cancer. Al served faithfully as a pastor, missionary and teacher in Canada, Nigeria and short term missions in several other countries. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Marianne; their children, Debbie, Rebecca (Brian), Tim (Janice); and their grandchildren, Joshua, Rylan, Jade and Colton. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Central Heights Church, 1661 McCallum Road, Abbotsford, BC. We would like to extend a big thank you for all the love and care for Alfred and our family to the following: our immediate families, friends, Pastor Cam Broad, members from Central Heights Church, ARHCC staff, Dr. P. Gailbraith, Dr. C. DeLeeuw, home nursing and home care staff of the Fraser Valley Health Unit and the staff at Christine Morrison Hospice.
