Albert “Ray”, was born in Lismore, N.S.W., Australia, on October 26, 1920. He died peacefully on July 4, 2005 at the Menno Hospital, Abbotsford, BC. Predeceased by his first wife Rachel. Ray is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife Renee, his 3 children Heather (Gary) Barichello, Alan (Barbara) Irvine, Ian (Sandy) Irvine, 6 grandchildren, Shelagh, Suzanne (Sam), Matthew, Eric, Ashley, Mackenzie, 2 great-grandchildren Bronwyn, and Cooper. Ray was a Veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Australian Royal Air Force. His Theatres of service were in Europe and is a former P.O.W. the family wishes to thank all of Ray’s caregivers during the last 2 years of his life. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 13 at 1:00 pm from Immanuel Baptist Church, 2950 Bluejay St., Abbotsford with Pastor John Bonham officiating. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the B.C. Heart & Stroke Foundation.
