Al WILLIAMS

Mr. Al Williams, late of Abbotsford, passed away on March 16, 2005 at the age of 85 years, at MSA Hospital, Abbotsford.

He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his daughters Lori “Jack” (Morgan) Cummings and Dede (Matt) Bone; grandchildren: Jason, Jesse, Ellie, Kelly, Karli, Cody and Linley; sisters Lillian Krivoshein (Cloke) and Mona Phelps, very special niece Lil Schaufele and other relatives. Al was predeceased by his young daughter Susan Lynn and brother Ivor Williams.

Al was born and raised in Vancouver. He worked with the Vancouver police before joining the Air Force during WWII and was stationed in the Queen Charlotte Islands. He spent most of his life in Duncan where he was a dedicated member and past-president of the Rotary Club. Al also worked as a building inspector for the Government of Canada, and worked with Butler Brothers Building Supply in Duncan until his retirement. He enjoyed traveling across Canada and Mexico, and spent many winters in California. He was an avid gardener and was well known for his beautiful flowers. Al was very much loved and respected by his daughters and their families, and will be deeply missed.

An urn interment will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at

1:00 pm at Hatzic Cemetery, Mission. A gathering in Al’s memory will follow at daughter Lori’s house, 2061 Orchard Drive, Abbotsford.

In lieu of flowers or memorial donations, a tree or flower may be planted in memory of Al.
