Agnes was born May 22, 1930 in Yarrow, BC to Helena and Abraham Kroeker. Agnes passed away at Menno Home in Abbotsford December 17, 2020 at the age of 90.
She is survived by her 5 daughters: Carol (Dave) Briltz, Judy (Bill) Baron, Jeanne (Jim) Nichols, Linda (Frank) Krobath and Sandra (Mike) Klassen; 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and extended family of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Peter; parents; brothers Abe, John and Henry; sisters Helen, Ann, Betty and grandson Doran Hensley.
Agnes and her husband Peter owned and operated Blocks Motel in Clearbrook from 1953 to 1969. During their retirement years Agnes enjoyed traveling, camping and playing board games with Peter and their friends. Family and friends enjoyed sharing many delicious meals and coffee visits around her table. She will be remembered for her hospitality and dedication to her home and family. She will be dearly missed.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If you wish a donation in Agnes' memory to Samaritan House, Salvation Army or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
The family wishes to thank the Menno Home Staff for the very special care that was give to our Mother during her time living with them. Also, a special thank you to Ingrid Schultz for visiting with our Mother, reading scripture to her and providing words of comfort to her.
