April 30, 1936 - February 20, 2021
Ad Vandenberg was born in Haarlem, Noord Holland, The Netherlands, to Adrianus and Johanna Vandenberg, the oldest of seven children.
In the early 1950s, the family immigrated to Vancouver. There he met our mom, Reinie Hulstein.
They were married in 1957 and together raised six children. Dad had a variety of jobs over the years, but he found his true calling working at Union Gospel Mission in Mission until he retired. Ad loved the Lord and sharing that love with people.
He was a great dad, a wonderful husband. Thankful for him, and his legacy of faith, are his wife of 63 years, Reinie, and his children, Ed (Sharon) Vandenberg, Wilma (Bob) Timmermans, Heidi (Ian) Saathof, Stan (Dana) Vandenberg, Renee Vandenerg, Esther (Jeff) Vandenberg, 21 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
A memorial for immediate family will be held, March 3rd. Please consider making a donation to the Union Gospel Mission in Ad's name.
