Adriana HALLSON

December 6, 2012

HALLSON Adriana. Adriana Hallson (nee Smid) beloved wife, daughter, sister, auntie, and step-mom was called home unexpectedly on December 6, 2012 surrounded by the company of her family. Adriana was born in Richmond on February 17, 1967 and lived her early years in Langley where she attended Fraser Valley Christian High School. She later went on to get her degree in religious education at Reformed Bible College in Grand Rapids, Michigan where she was active in the choir. She spent her life serving others working as a caregiver for disabled adults with Bethesda Christian Association where she made many friends with staff, parents and other individuals, cared for and worked as the Sunday school teacher for her church. Her stories of the pranks the individuals she cared for could bring a smile to whoever she spoke with. She will be remembered fondly for her bubbly nature, bright colours, infectious laugh, kind words and unshakeable faith. She was a true friend to those she knew and her voice raised in song was wonder to hear. She is survived by her husband Doug, and step-children Graham, Charlotte, Sarah, and Grant, her mother Audrey Hovenkamp, sister Paula Norder and nieces Jessica and Danika, sister Jacqueline Doppenberg (Gerard) and niece Edin, and her brother Henrick as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. We will miss you dearly. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 on Friday, December 14, 2012 at the River Community Church, #14 33550 South Fraser Way (next to the bowling alley at 5 corners), Abbotsford, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the River Community Church or Bethesda Christian Association.
