Abram Martens passed away on September 11, 2017.
He was born in Alexanderfeld, Ukraine on November 9, 1922. The family left Ukraine in 1929 for Paraguay, South America. In 1956, Abe and his family moved to Ontario, Canada, and his wife Ella passed away in 1982. He moved across the country to BC with his new wife Miriam.
Left behind to celebrate his life are: his wife Miriam of 34 years; Abe's daughter, Trudi (Dan) Willms and their son; Ron (Beverly) Willms and their children; Charis, Leah, Nathan; son Kevin (Andrea) Willms and their children; Jack, Cassandra; daughter, Lynette (Bryant) Van Kuik and their children; Emma and Rebecca; daughter, Cheryl (Dan) Van Vliet and their children, Megan, Madylin, Samantha; Abe's daughter, Hildegard (Bill) Berg and their children; Marlene (David) Hohn, Robert and his children, Autumn & Brycen; step-daughter, Arlene (Dennis) Martin and their children, Michelle (Daniel) MacGibbon, Chris (Misty) Martin and their children, Simon and Matthew; Sisters, Lena Penner in Surrey, Tina Friesen in Abbotsford and Liese Loewen in Winnipeg as well as many relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 7-8 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, BC.
Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 10 am at Clearbrook MB Church, 2719 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, BC.
