Abram Vernon Hamm of Abbotsford, born December 5, 1924 in Rostern, Sask., passed away peacefully in his sleep on August, 18, 2003 at the MSA Hospital in Abbotsford. He leaves behind, with loving memories Jeanette "McGivern", his wife - his son David Abram Hamm (Colleen) - his daughters Katherine Bosse, Beverly Knutson (Roy), and Laurie Knutson, all of Abbotsford.
He was a proud grandfather of 8 grandchildren and last year was very happy to welcome his first great grandchild, Jacob to the family.
He also leaves behind a much loved and loving sister, Anne Carlton, as well as his much loved and respected big brother, Vic Wiebe (Freda).
He will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, old friends and new as well as extended family.
He is predeceased by his loving wife Kay, his parents Abram and Tina Hamm, his brother Jack (Gwen) and sister Rita.
Services were held on Friday, August 22, at Personal Alternative Funeral Services in Aldergrove, with burial in the Legion area of Hazelwood Cemetery, Abbotsford.
The family would like to extend its appreciation and thanks to the nursing staff and doctors at MSA Hospital for making our father as comfortable as possible in these difficult last days.
