Youth Week activities set in Abbotsford

Several activities are taking place in Abbotsford in celebration of B.C. Youth Week (May 1 to 7).

Several activities are taking place in Abbotsford in celebration of B.C. Youth Week (May 1 to 7).

The Abbotsford Youth Commission (AYC) hosts community events next week, as well as special events at both youth centres – located at the Abbotsford and Matsqui recreation centres.

Activities taking place:

  • Monday, May 2 – participants meet at the AYC office (in city hall at 32315 South Fraser Way) at 3:30 p.m. for random acts of kindness
  • Wednesday, May 4 – an all-star basketball game begins at 6 p.m. with MVP high school athletes taking on coaches, teachers and youth workers
  • Thursday, May 5 – a floor hockey game between youth and the Abbotsford Police Department at 3:30 p.m. at the Ag-Rec Building at Exhibition Park (32444 Haida Drive);
  • Friday, May 6 – a dance for Grade 7 and 8 students is held at the Cadet Building at Exhibition Park from 7 to 10 p.m.
