An Abbotsford woman has died following a single-vehicle accident around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
Police say a woman and man, both in their 40s, were driving in a blue Mercedes that went off Clearbrook Road in the 3100 block and rolled over into a yard.
Police and ambulance responded to the accident and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man, who police believe was driving the vehicle, was taken to hospital with minor injuries and has since been released.
Collision reconstructionists, the forensic identification unit and major crime detectives have responded due to the seriousness of the crash.
Police have yet to determine the cause of the accident, but Const. Ian MacDonald said they are considering all contributing factors.
