A woman has been charged in connection to a suspicious fire in a regional Coquitlam park early Tuesday.

Pen Jung Tracy Chen was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with indignity to a dead body, RCMP said in a news release Wednesday.

Emergency crews received reports of a fire, in the 4000 block of Quarry Road in Minnekhada Regional Park, shortly after 6:15 a.m. When officers arrived, they “found evidence of a suspicious death,” police said in a news release.

Police are now working to identify the victim.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous.
