Volunteers have continued their efforts to find a missing Abbotsford woman.

Friends and family of Erica Schmidt, as well as strangers who want to help, have returned to the "command centre" at the River Community Church (located behind Dogwood Bowling on South Fraser Way).

"Missing person" flyers are continuing to be distributed in the community.

Thousands were handed out earlier this week, including about 800 at last night's Reba McEntire concert at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre.

The posters have been translated into Punjabi and are being handed out today (Friday) at temples and areas of Abbotsford with high Indo-Canadian populations.

The Facebook page "Help Find Erica!" is continuing to be updated on a regular basis with information for volunteers and details on the search.

The volunteer effort is being conducted in co-operation with the Abbotsford Police Department's investigation into the matter.

Schmidt's family and friends have not heard from her since she walked away from the home she shares with her husband on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 5.

She did not take any belongings nor does she own a cellphone.

Erica is 5' 4", 140 pounds with short brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone who thinks they have spotted her is asked to call the APD at 604-859-5225 or text abbypd (222973).
