VIDEO: Large fire at abandoned house in Abbotsford

Crews are still determining what caused the fire

An abandoned house 2000 block of Ross Road caught fire around 10 a.m. Sunday morning.

“When crews arrived on scene we had heavy smoke and fire conditions from an abandoned structure in an old gravel pit,” said Abbotsford Fire Rescue assistant fire Chief Craig Bird. Fire crews are still investigating the cause of the blaze. There is no risk of the fire spreading, Bird added.

More to come.
