Nearly a week and 69 centimetres of snow after the first snowfall warning was issued for Abbotsford, warmer weather is finally in the cards for the Fraser Valley.
Environment Canada lifted its Winter Storm Watch for the region this afternoon after heavy snow, and then 13 hours of freezing rain, caked the area in ice.
The next week will be considerably warmer, with a high of 9 C forecast for Thursday and temperatures of 15 C possible next week.
But right now, Abbotsford continues to try and clean up after a week of wild weather. Multiple records were broken, and the 69 centimetres that have been recorded at Abbotsford International Airport are just a millimetre shy of the record for February set way back in 1949.
