Vehicle stolen in Mission, used in Abbotsford robbery

The Abbotsford Police Department (APD) is asking for help in trying to identify the suspect in the robbery of a convenience store on Sunday, May 17.

The robbery took place in the 2600 block of Gladys Avenue at about 8:30 p.m., when a man entered the store, showed a handgun and began yelling instructions to the staff.

The man then grabbed cash from the register and fled. He was wearing a mask during the robbery but took it off when he got into a green Jeep Cherokee that quickly left the area.

That vehicle was later recovered by the APD and determined to have been stolen from Mission.

The suspect is described as a balding Caucasian man, 30 to 35 years old and 5' 5" with a heavy build.
