A long list of Vancouver Canucks legends took part in today’s Heroes Hockey Challenge.

The hockey game featured former Canucks taking on the Heroes Hockey Challenge Warriors in a charity event.

It pitted former Vancouver players against some of the best Western Canadian military hockey players.

“Many of our military heroes grew up playing hockey all across Canada with some playing at major junior hockey levels,” said Captain Dan Spielman (PPCLI), Team Captain of HHC Warriors.

Such familiar Canucks names like Cliff Ronning, Dave Babych, Dana Murzyn, Ryan Walter, and Greg Adams were slated to play.

The game is designed to be an affordable and fun outing for families with a chance to see hockey legends in action. The game will also featured a ceremony to honour fallen soldiers, as well as entertainment, a military band and displays, hockey souvenirs and memorabilia, and a chance to collect autographs.

The Stanley Cup, the holy grail for NHL hockey players, was also on hand  for viewing and for photos by donation.
