A vacant garage and house on Hillcrest Avenue in Abbotsford went up in flames early Wednesday morning.
When crews from Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service arrived, the garage was engulfed in fire, and the flames were quickly spreading to the house.
They quickly brought the fire under control.
A similar fire occurred at an abandoned home on Hillcrest Avenue in November. There are several vacant homes in that area which are scheduled for demolition to make way for development.
