Police believe the man was shot in the parking lot of the Greater Vancouver Zoo in Aldergrove before he was discovered in a fast food restaurant parking lot around 7 p.m. at 264 Street and 56 Avenue in the Gloucester neighbourhood.

Several shell casings were found in the large empty zoo parking lot.

The man's injuries are described as serious but non-life-threatening.

Police have not been able to speak to him yet, but he was in the company of another man who has provided information to assist with the investigation.

Update: Police say the incident was not related to the homicide earlier in the day on 72 Ave in Langley.
