Abbotsford Police seized a sawed-off shotgun, a rifle, ammunition and methamphetamine on Thursday night from a home that was the scene of a bust last month in which 12 weapons were found.

Charges have since been laid against Jonathan Jay Jeffrey Wood, 43, an occupant of the home in the 34000 block of Gladys Avenue. A 43-year-old woman was also arrested, and has been released with possible charges pending.

Abbotsford Police's drug enforcement unit and patrol division officers, as well as menbers of the Municipal Integrated Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at the home at about 6:30 p.m.

"It (the house) was on police radar, and it was a concern to the neighbourhood," said Const. Ian MacDonald.

This was the same location where a search on July 2 yielded eight rifles and four handguns, including a loaded one on a table. The rest were found under a mattress and various other locations around the home.

Wood was also arrested at that time, but charges for that bust have not yet been laid.

Following the latest raid, Wood was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and six weapons offences, including improper storage and careless use of a firearm.

Wood remains in custody and is next scheduled to appear Thursday in Abbotsford provincial court for an arraignment hearing.

MacDonald said Wood is not considered to be a "major player" with any local gangs.
