Update: Abbotsford Police called to stabbing incident in Aldergrove

One person was airlifted to hospital and another person was taken to hospital by ground ambulance.



Abbotsford Police and Langley RCMP, along with fire and ambulance, were called to a stabbing at a trailer park in Aldergrove, in the 26800 block of Fraser Highway, at about 1:45 a.m. Friday morning.

According to Langley RCMP, the dispute involved two males, one of whom had apparently stabbed the other. The victim was airlifted to an area hospital, in serious condition. His injuries are not expected to be life threatening.

The second male was arrested. He had a minor wound and was treated at hospital, and remains in police custody. A female was also arrested and is being interviewed.

Langley Serious Crime has conduct of the ongoing investigation.

All parties involved in this event are known to each other, and police say the assault is not believed to have any gang or drug connections, but characterized it as a localized dispute between individuals.
