A two-vehicle crash occurred Tuesday morning at the intersection of Whatcom Road and South Parallel Road in Abbotsford.

The collision took place at about 10:15 a.m. and involved a construction truck and a mini van. The truck was travelling west on South Parallel and the van was heading south on Whatcom when the two collided.

Abbotsford Police Const. Ian MacDonald said the two drivers provided conflicting stories at the scene, and no witnesses came forward. MacDonald said the truck driver alleged that the other driver ran a red light, while the driver of the van indicated she had a green light and the truck driver ran the stop sign.

The driver of the van contacted The News on Wednesday, saying the collision was ruled to be the other driver's fault.

There were no injuries in the crash. Abbotsford Police were on the scene.
