Abbotsford Police have detained one man after a fight broke out in a residence on South Fraser Way on Sunday.

Police, Fire Rescue Services and an ambulance were called out at approximately 9:30 Sunday night after receiving a report of a disturbance.

“Upon arriving, we identified three persons, all of which are known to the police. Two had non-life-threatening injuries,” said Abbotsford Police Const. Jon Courtney.

“It appears that a single weapon was involved. It has been recovered,” he added.

While police did not confirm what kind of weapon it was, it appears to have been a metal pipe.

No charges have been laid as of yet. Police believe alcohol was a factor.
