Two federal all-candidates meetings for Abbotsford are now virtual

Abbotsford riding meeting set for Sept. 15, MMFC riding scheduled for Sept. 16

Two federal all-candidates meetings that were originally scheduled to be held next week at Matsqui Centennial Auditorium in Abbotsford are now being held virtually.

These are Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce events sponsored by the Fraser Valley Indo-Canadian Business Association and the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board.

First up is the Abbotsford riding on Wednesday, Sept. 15 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Candidates in that riding are incumbent Ed Fast (Conservative), Stephen Fowler (Green), Navreen Gill (Liberal), Kevin Sinclair (People’s Party) and Dharmasena Yakandawela (NDP).

Mission-Matsqui-Fraser Canyon candidates are up on Thursday, Sept. 16 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

MMFC candidates are Nicole Bellay (Green), Geet Grewal (Liberal), Tyler Niles (PPC), Lynn Perrin (NDP) and incumbent Brad Vis (Conservative).

Candidates will answer questions on business issues and written questions received from the audience.
