Two Abbotsford men plead guilty in child porn cases

Men will be sentenced next year

Two Abbotsford men have pleaded guilty to charges of possession of child pornography and are scheduled to be sentenced in February.

Sean Joshua Leblanc, 22, initially faced three charges after his arrest in May of this year. In addition to the possession charge, he faced charges of importing/distributing child porn and luring a person under the age of 16.

His sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 19 in Abbotsford provincial court on the possession charge.

Leblanc was arrested following an investigation that involved both Canadian and U.S. authorities and the execution of a search warrant at his Abbotsford residence.

Leblanc was arrested again on Aug. 30 for allegedly breaching his bail conditions.

Conditions of his release included that he not possess any device that could connect to the Internet and that he not attend parks, daycares, community centres or other place where a person under 16 could be present.

Leblanc was allegedly found in possession of a cellphone and was located by police in the parking lot of a church that also runs a daycare facility.

Leblanc was released from custody on $5,000 bail and is next expected to appear in Abbotsford provincial court on the breach charges on Oct. 21.

Meanwhile, another Abbotsford man, Chad Marcus Loeppky, 35, is scheduled for a sentencing hearing on Feb. 21. He pleaded guilty on Sept. 24 to possessing child pornography.
